April Fool Joke!

The popular Cheese Ploughman’s sandwich is the first of Sayers new range of “Totally Fresh” sandwiches, to be re-designed specifically for left-handed customers. The Ploughman’s will still consist of a tasty mix of Cheddar and Red Leicester cheese, garnished with sweet pickle and crunchy salad - the only difference is that the sandwich has been handmade to fit more comfortably in the left hand. This will result in fewer embarrassing pickle 'spills' for left-handed sandwich lovers.
The new left-handed sandwich will have all the ingredients rotated 180 degrees, redistributing the weight of the sandwich, so that the bulk of them skew to the left. The packaging has also been altered so that the door now opens to the left.
Head Sandwich maker, Helen said: "We have been baking delicious breads, cakes and pies for over 100 years and are always looking at extra ways to make our customer’s day better. Being left handed myself I am only too aware of the pitfalls of living in a right handed world. Depending on how well the “Left-Handed Sandwich” goes down we may look at mirroring this across our whole range and producing left handed doughnuts.”
Initially, the Left-Handed Sandwich range will only be available in the North West, however Sayers is considering plans to deliver this across the UK and to other countries with large left handed populations.
